Customers would be familiar with this process where they are required to go through a card authentication, such as VISA Secure and Mastercard Identity Check before a transaction can go through. It is implemented to be an additional security layer for online credit and debit card transactions.

  1. Upon entering your payment method details via hoolah's Application or the Consumer Portal, your card issuer assesses the transaction and you can complete the card authentication when prompted.

  2. Wait a few seconds for the authentication page to pop up

    (Example below on the Consumer Portal)

  3. A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your mobile number, registered with the bank.

    (if the mobile number on the authentication page is not updated, please update it with your bank)

  4. Click on the Submit button to complete the authentication. Once it is successfully added, set the card as default so that we can do the automatic deduction to your current and future transactions.

Note: If you have added your card but was not prompted to do the card activation, you may click on the "Activate" button on your payment method (refer to the example below):
